The Receptionist manages the Neskonlith Events Facebook page. This page gives our members the ability to get daily reminders of our events happening here at our main Chase Office. Our page welcomes Community member’s advertising for their personal events as well. If you have an event that you would like us to advertise email me at the above email address and I can work with you to post. We welcome to post your live pictures on our events in the page.

Council Executive Assistant

Our Council Executive Assistant is responsible for all Chief & Council’s business contacts. This position runs out of our Tmicw Building in Chase. The Council Executive Assistant is responsible for scheduling all Council Meetings. This position handles all requests for Delegates to present at our Council meetings. Chantal Kawamoto Stott grew up on the unceded territory of the Sto:lo First Nations located in the Fraser Valley region of British Columbia. Chantal studied Administration at the University of the Fraser Valley and BCIT. She has over 16 years of experience in a combination of Administration, Communications and Social Media content building for several Canadian companies. Chantal is a proud Japanese Canadian and enjoys exploring the beautiful Shuswap with her family.

Neskonlith Indian Band (“NIB”) Administration Department provides financial support and services to Neskonlith Band members and organizations through its donation initiative program.
Donations are intended to be used for such things as facilitating events and/or activities that lead to positive growth, achievement, healthy development and betterment of our community or individuals.
A donation is a gift given for charitable purposes and/or to benefit a cause. A donation may take various forms, including cash offering or services.
Request Procedure:
- All recipients must complete Donation Application or Letter
- Outlines all details pertaining to Event/Activity.
- Groups are required to submit detailed budget and explanation of benefit to community.
- Submit a minimum of a week in advance of Event and/or activity Allows our finance team to process payment
- Anything under 5 business days will be denied

Ensure process:
- Application will be date stamped to ensure Executive Director knows when request was submitted
- Applicant must give a follow up phone call to Receptionist for confirmation of event in application and confirming Neskonlith received your application
- NIB’s Executive Director gives final approval for all donation requests and is based on budget availability
- Await final decision. Applicant will be notified of final decision via letter or email.

- Funeral Donations
- Personal/Individual Emergency Donations
- Personal/Individual Items and/or Private Trips
- Personal/Individual Household Supplies/Appliances
- Personal/Individual Hobby Projects
Follow up Report
- Administration requires a final report and/or confirmation that the event was held. This is to ensure funding was used as requested. Lack of final report/confirmation will affect future donations requests from individual and/or group
- Event Cancellation: Full return of donation.

Addressing Concerns
Neskonlith Indian Band is committed to working together to promote a healthy relationship with our community. Each department has a director who is responsible for her/his department’s staff and day-to-day operations. Each department has its own mandate and set of policies that align with their goals and the Comprehensive Community Plan (2016).
Concerns can be brought forward to the appropriate Director using the following process:
- Fill out Member Concern Form or letter describing the concern
- Submit to appropriate Director
- Correspond with Department Director to resolve concern(s)
- If the department Director cannot resolve the member issue by herself/himself, only then will it go to the Executive Director of Neskonlith Indian Band
